Building Communities that Work
G&K Services Canada Inc. has a long legacy of corporate giving. As a Company, we believe that it’s our responsibility to give back to the communities where we do business and our employees live.
At G&K, we focus our charitable giving efforts on “Building Communities that Work.” How do we do this? It’s done in various ways; i.e, a combination of employee and corporate funding, company events and offering time through volunteerism. We are dedicated to supporting organizations that help support the basic human and educational needs of people within our communities. Together, we work to ensure the future success of our employees, neighbours, customers and the communities where we live and work.
For over 14 years, throughout our business and across our 27 Canada and US in Canada locations, G&K employees contribute generously to their communities – from volunteering at food shelves to donating to charitable causes. We are thrilled to announce that our 2015 Campaign drove more than $16,000 to support the United Way through various initiatives such as the CN Tower Climb, Corporate Auctions, and Online Auctions, amongst others.
G&K fosters employee volunteerism by giving corporate employees time each quarter to participate in volunteer activities. Many of our people also give their time and expertise to serve as advisors and board members for nonprofit organizations.
G&K Services Canada gives priority consideration to organizations and programs that promote sustainable long-term change in education, mental health, youth in risk, skills development and self-sufficiency training. We believe that an educated, highly skilled and diverse workforce is critical to a strong economy and successful communities.
Together, we strive to make a positive difference, building communities that work.
